In order to move your website from another company to our server you need to follow these steps:

Don't stop your account with the other company until the transfer procedure has been completed.
Download the files of your website (backup) from the old server and upload them via FTP to your new account. (if you have databases you have to move them too).
After the move check that your website works fine by using the temporary ip we provide (http://ip_address/~username).
Create your email accounts through cPanel.
At the domain name registrar set the new nameservers which are sent to you via email. Usually it takes up to 72 hours for the website to work from our server. Until then it will continue to work from the old server.

All files and folders should go to the public_html directory. The public_html folder can be accessed either by FTP or via FileManager in cPanel. There are many free FTP clients available on the internet. The login details, sush as hostname, username and password will be sent to you after your acount activation. Be sure to create an index file for your first page. This can be index.htm, index.html, index.php, etc. Please note, our servers are case sensitive so index.htm and Index.htm are two separate files. Index.htm will not be recognized as the default first page. It must be index.htm (.html, .php, etc.) in lowercase.

Yes, you can use your existing domain name for any of our web hosting packages. It is to your benefit to tranfer your existing domain name to us in order to be able to handle it easily if needed in the future.

Subdomains: a subdomain points to a subfolder of the primary domain. For instance, test.yourdomain.name would point to a subfolder such as /test under the primary domain of yourdomain.name. Its content is separate from the main site so it can act like a separate site though usually it will have some relevance to the main site as you can see above.
Parked Domains: a parked domain is an additional domain that points to the main directory of your account. A parked domain will resolve to your primary domain name. Say your primary is domain1.com and you park domain2.com. In the address bar if you type domain2.com it will resolve to domain1.com but in the address bar you will see domain2.com. This is a parked domain.
Addon domains: an add on domain allows you to run a separate web site to your primary domain. When you create an add on domain it makes a folder in your public_html folder and you upload the site content into that folder. So, essentially you are running 2 separate sites, separate content, off one account.
